Interior design for Montse's family

Open the living-dining area: tear down a wall partition and completely change the style.

Living room

The requirements for this project are clear: knock down two partitions and open up the living room. In addition, the teenage son's bedroom must be updated in line with his new preferences.

In the previous state there was a corridor that divided the living room and the hall. By opening up the area we can propose a new distribution of the zones: the dining room is now at the back of the living room to take advantage of natural light, and the old L-shaped sofa gives way to a linear sofa with a Scandinavian aesthetic.

Dining full of light

We kept some of the existing furniture pieces and mixed them with wooden elements and plants, bringing freshness and a renewed air to the room.

Boho touches

Elements in neutral colors such as off-white and sand take us to a brighter and more relaxing atmosphere, making the most of the natural light that now reaches the kitchen.

A shortcut

Now, without a hallway, we gain square meters. The feeling of openness causes a WOW effect in this elongated living room. The circulation path is clearer and the entrance much more spacious and elegant.

Gamer's bedroom

Our other protagonist, this 16-year-old teenager, also demands his own space to suit his tastes. A trundle bed for occasional visits is now possible thanks to the optimization of space. The work and play area is expanded, as is the storage volume.

Although there is an adjoining room that functions as a dressing room, the client wants a hanger to display his collection of favourtie sneakers and T-shirts.

A full-length mirror along with modular elements provide extra organization in this bedroom, whose fundamental idea is not to overload.
