Proposal for a complete renovation . A Luxurious contemporary home in the heart of Madrid.
Entrance
The house has a large hall with direct access to the kitchen and living room. It is a practical space since with the minimum elements we have a built-in wardrobe, a full-length mirror and an entrance cabinet.
Semi-open kitchen
It was very important to propose a solution in which the rooms were connected to each other, but well identified and with the kitchen semi-open. Two large sliding doors with an industrial look serve this purpose
The kitchen has a large central island, where the family can have an informal breakfast. The marble dining table for 6 people has a large storage capacity for dishes in its adjoining cabinet.
We created interest by recovering the exposed brick for this structural partition. It creates a WOW effect and certainly takes us back to the early 20th century when this iconic building was built.
The TV area, which meets the needs of the family, is used for relaxation and home cinema. The transformable coffee table allows you to dine while the family gathers or watches a movie.
In the same living room we propose a multifunctional space, a table hidden in the display cabinet unfolds and offers a solution for playing board games with the family.
Recovering elements
In this project we wanted to recover several original elements that in this integral renovation propose a novel aesthetic and at the same time authenticity: the solid wood herringbone floor, after a sanding and protection treatment, is a good example of this.
Zoning diverse areas
In a single space we have a sitting/TV room, a reading area with a library, a multifunctional area and direct access to the semi-open kitchen. All areas are connected but perfectly identified, according to the briefing requirements.
Rest room
Small spaces, like this bathroom, have not been left in the background. We also propose an innovative design in them, creating interest in the coverings while black sanitary ware breaks the monotony.
The retractable sliding door helps to save space.
The master bedroom is spacious, with a large custom headboard and a recessed wall that provides a second support surface. Wide double curtains and a large rug under the bed reinforce the cosy character.
The opposite wall is a good setting for displaying the art that the couple collects, and the corner is also a good place to have a discreet desk with an occasional work area.
A Studio for kids
The children also have their own privacy and a space for each function. In this shared studio they can do their homework and play independently with their friends.
The girl's bedroom has a retro-futuristic style but at the same time allows for easy adaptation as the girl grows and has other aesthetic preferences.
From another angle we appreciate the custom-made desk, expandable in the future, with various decorative elements around it that allow for customization.
The child's bedroom has plenty of storage space, although it is hidden from plain sight, a trundle bed and a large desk with free space for playing.
With fun elements, such as the ladder to access the bed and the green drawers for toys, we propose a well-organized space that is easy to maintain.
